Country Music France’s Top 30 playlist – Update #8

Country Music France Top 30 Spotify playlist includes the blog’s current 30 favorite songs. Together with the albums, EP’s and song reviews, this playlist is an important way for this blog to share actual songs that belong to country music, red dirt, americana or southern rock genres. Here’s the 8th udpate, with 19 new songs, recently released. As it’s a Spotify playlist, conceived to be potentially shuffle played, there’s no particular order between the 30 songs. This playlist lives on Spotify, but if you don’t use this streaming service, you can check out the list below and find the songs you want to listen to wherever you want. If you like them, I also invite you to listen to the albums and other songs of those great artists.

Heard It Through The Red WineCharlie Marie

After her brilliant 2019 self-titled EP, reviewed on this blog here, Charlie Marie will release her debut LP, named “Ramble On“, on May 7th. With her unique voice and her classic country style, the artist from Rhode Island released the superb “Heard It Through The Red Wine” (check out its great music video below) and the also strongly recommended “40 Miles From Memphis“.

One year after the excellent LP “New York“, reviewed here, the Houston native artist Rich O’Toole is writing new music for an upcoming album, and “17 Wild Horses” is the debut single. It’s a great country rock song, inspired by the TV show Yellowstone, and its video, that you can check out below, is absolutely fantastic.

One Life Stand – Lauren Mascitti

Her album “God Made A Woman” was one of the most brilliant records of 2020, and Lauren Mascitti is definitely a name you must know if you love classic country music. The Ohio native artist just released a new single. “One Life Stand” is a beautiful song, and you definitely need to watch the amazing music video (check it out below), directed by Pam Tillis and Josh Sikkema. It’s old-school, excellently written and Lauren Mascitti’s voice is beautiful. A gem!

You Hear Georgia“, that will be released on May 28th, is one of the most awaited albums of 2021. Can’t wait for the LP!

Where Have You Gone – Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson will release a new album, “Where Have You Gone“, almost six years after his last one, “Angels and Alcohol“. The traditional country artist released the title track, and it’s so beautiful! It’s hard and pure country music. A real gem for all those who want to listen to real country. The album is almost here and I can’t wait to listen to it.

Honey, Shake!” is one of the best songs of Mac Leaphart’s new album, “Music City Joke“, released on February 12th.
