Country Music France Top 30 Spotify playlist includes the blog’s current 30 favorite songs. Together with the albums, EP’s and song reviews, this playlist is an important way for this blog to share actual songs that belong to country music, red dirt, americana or southern rock genres. I updated it today for fourth time, with 10 new songs, recently released. As it’s a Spotify playlist, conceived to be shuffle played, there’s no particular order between the 30 songs. This playlist lives on Spotify, but if you don’t use this streaming service, you can check out the list below and find the songs you want to listen on your favorite streaming app.
Robynn Shayne – “Growing old with you”
This beautiful song is pure and awesome country music. Cowritten by Robbyn Shayne with Jade Marie Patek, it’s the outsanding song of Robbyn Shayne’s new album “Let’s get this show on the road“. The beautiful voice of Robbyn Shayne, enhanced with great pedal steel, will haunt you all day long. You can check out my review of the album there: https://countrymusicfrance.fr/2020/03/24/album-review-robynn-shaynes-lets-get-this-show-on-the-road/
American Aquarium – “Me + Mine (Lamentations)”
This song will be part of American Aquarium’s upcoming album, to be released on May 1st, “Lamentations“. It’s a masterpiece, for its songwriting, its impressive musical quality and its fantastic music video (you can watch the video thanks to the link below).

Lauren Mascitti – “Losing my mind“
The Ohio native artist released her new album this 2020, “God made a woman“. It’s difficult choosing a song from this record, because all tunes are awesome. “Losing in my mind” is the quintessence of country music. If some people answer you what is real country music, just tell them to listen to this song (and to the whole album of Lauren Mascitti, by the way!). So beautiful! Enjoy!
Reckless Kelly – “Thinkin’ ‘Bout You All Night“
Along with “I only see you with my eyes closed“, it’s the second song of Reckless Kelly on this playlist. Both will be part of the double concept album that the band will release next month, “American Jackpot” and “American Girls“. I’m particularly in love with “Thinkin’ ‘Bout You all night“. It’s beautiful, with great songwriting and instrumentation. I have it on repeat since its release.
Deryl Dodd – “Let me hold you tonight“
Deryl Dodd’s new song is a beautiful country song, with great songwriting and fantastic pedal steel. Deryl Dodd never disappoints real country music lovers. Check out this gem!
Jesse Daniel and Jodi Lyford- “Only Money, Honey”
Jesse Daniel’s new album, “Rollin’ On“, is one of the best albums released this 2020, till this date. “Only Money, Honey” is one of my favorites tunes on this album. It’s a fantastic honky tonk song, that the Californian artist sings with Jodi Lyford. A brilliant and traditional song, with great fiddle and pedal steel.
Steven James – “Heartbreak on the Jukebox”
The South Texas native artist released three excellent albums with his band, Steven James and the Jaded, including the last one, the amazing “Starr Street”, last year. He recently released a fantastic song, the powerful and catchy “Heartbreak on the jukebox”, maybe his best song till this date. With amazing guitar riffs and excellent songwriting, it’s a song that you’ll have on repeat! You can also check out my interview with Steven James there: https://countrymusicfrance.fr/2019/08/29/country-music-frances-interview-with-texan-artist-steven-james/
Cody Jinks – “Fast Lane“
The last song of Cody Jinks, released on March 22d, was recorded for his fantastic 2015 album “Adobe Sessions”, but finally it was not included in the record. It’s good listening to it in a moment we need to enjoy quality country music. An awesome song!
George Ducas – “Don’t Leave Her Lonely”
George Ducas is not anymore the “Invisible Man” on this playlist. “Don’t Leave Her Lonely” is one my favorite songs from his last album, the excellent “Yellow Rose Motel”. The Texan artist released an awesome music video of this song, that you can check out below.
Daryl Mosley – “A few years ago“
Daryl Mosley, a bluegrass artist who was part of the bands “New Tradition” and “The Farm Hands“, will release his solo debut album, “The Secret of Life“, on May 22d. “A few Years Ago” is his debut single as a solo artist. It’s an amazing bluegrass song, with great songwriting and instrumentation.
