One month ago, Country Music France created its Top 30 Spotify playlist. It includes my current 30 favorite songs. Together with the albums, EP’s and song reviews, this playlist is an important way for me to share actual songs that belong to country music, red dirt , americana or southern rock genres. Some artists are well-known, others are independent or new ones. While it’s good music, it can appear in this playlist.
There were excellent releases since its creation in november, so I updated this playlist including no fewer than 11 new songs.
Robert Ray – “Break My Heart All Over Again”
Every time the young Texan artist Robert Ray releases a new song, I’m sure I’ll going to listen to a gem, and “Break my heart all over again” isn’t an exception. If you like traditional country music, listen to this beautiful song, it’s a masterpiece!
Charlie Marie – “Old Fashioned Christmas”
When I reviewed Charlie Marie’s brilliant EP, released this spring, I ended it saying “Please, Charlie Marie, don’t let us for a long time without your music. You are the embodiment of country music genre”. Well, we have now a new gem, released on November 29th. Just listen to it, to her beautiful voice, and enjoy this amazing song! I chose “Loved you this much” for my playlist, an excellent song, beautifully written.

Texas country is not only a “sub-genre” of country music: it’s its quintessence. This great song will be part of Haddock’s sophomore album, produced by Trent Willmon, to be released next january.
