Here’s the second part of my “gig stories” dedicated to Equiblues festival, a rodeo and country music festival that takes place in a french little town, in August. After a first post about Jesse Daniel’s gig (you can read it here), the second post is about Jake Bush’s gig. You’ll find some videos made during this concert at the end of the post.

Jake Bush is an artist from Pasadena, Texas, whose songs are regularly at the top of Texas radio charts. I strongly recommend you to listen to “7“, a brilliant record released on October 2020, that includes the amazing singles “Gravity & You“, “Better By The Beer” and “If You Ever Get Lonely“. His 2022 record, named “Where 90’s Meet Now“, is also an excellent album, with awesome songs like “Cowgirl“, “Tractor Town” or “80 Miles From Houston“.

Jake Bush’s performance in Saint-Agrève, France, was particularly brilliant. His french audience coud appreciate all his talent and energy, with a lot of excellent songs, all of them belonging to traditional country. Among them, there were authentic gems like “Better By The Beer“, “Gravity & You“, or “Smells Like A Memory” and a beautiful cover of the iconic “When You Say Nothing At All“, made popular by Keith Whitley, one of Jake Bush’s idols.
On that summer night, Jake Bush brought to France a splendid piece of Texas culture, with beautiful ballads, amazing honky tonk and real country music. Thank you, Jake Bush and Equiblues festival, for such a fantastic gig! Bravo à vous.
